Extraction and everyday ventilation
The Novy 6942 is built around powerful ceiling extraction, with supplied information quoting airflow of up to 714m³/h when Qboost is used. Perimeter extraction is intended to concentrate airflow around the edges, helping remove steam, odours and cooking vapours across a wide cooking area.
A maximum noise level of 62dB and an integrated sound absorber are specified. This should make the hood a considered option for open-plan kitchens where controlling noise is important, although the available product information does not provide separate noise figures for each operating level.
Design, lighting and controls
The 120cm Pureline Pro format is designed to sit within a lowered ceiling, keeping the area above the hob visually open. Its mineral black finish gives the ceiling unit a distinctive appearance while the broad format is suited to larger hobs.
Dimmable LED strips provide both practical and ambient lighting, with adjustable colour temperature. A supplied remote control handles operation, while InTouch enables control from a compatible Novy induction hob.
Installation considerations
The hood supports duct-out or recirculation installation according to the supplied information, and click-and-fix assembly is intended to simplify securing the unit in a lowered ceiling. The stated maximum installation height is 1.60m, so the kitchen design and installation plan should be checked carefully before purchase.
This is a specialist ceiling-mounted appliance rather than a simple replacement for a conventional cooker hood. Buyers should confirm the required ceiling construction, extraction route and any recirculation components with their installer, as the available product information does not list every included installation accessory.
