Flexible cooking layout
The Novy 1768 is built around a generous 90cm cooking surface with five induction zones. Its combination of octagonal and circular zones is intended to suit different cookware shapes, while the automatic Flexzone gives greater freedom when positioning pans.
Bridge functionality allows adjoining zones to be linked for larger cookware. The Chef function adds preset zone arrangements for intensive cooking, simmering and keeping food warm, with the option to adjust settings as required.
Power and everyday controls
Three zones can boost to 3000W and the remaining two can boost to 2100W, giving the hob strong rapid-heating capability. This is useful when bringing larger quantities of water to the boil or starting intensive cooking.
The central red slider touch controls provide access to power levels, timers and cooking functions. Stop&Go temporarily disables the energy supply while retaining the selected settings, and the keep-warm and melting functions add useful control for finishing and holding food.
Installation and connected features
The black-glass design can be installed either surface-mounted or flush-mounted, offering flexibility when planning the worktop. The supplied information does not provide installation dimensions, so these should be checked before fitting.
Novy InTouch allows control of a compatible Novy cooker hood directly from the hob. This feature is most valuable where the rest of the cooking area uses compatible Novy appliances.
