Capacity and storage layout
With 522 litres of total capacity, the Smeg FQI60KD fridge freezer is aimed at households that regularly store a substantial amount of food. The 343-litre fridge section and 179-litre freezer section provide a balanced split for everyday chilled and frozen items.
The internal layout includes three fridge shelves and three drawers, plus two freezer shelves and four freezer drawers. This should make it easier to separate food types and access smaller frozen items without stacking everything together.
Food preservation features
The MultiFlow Cooling System is intended to distribute cold air more evenly through the fridge. The Moist Compartment, extra-large crisper and LifePlus 0°C drawer add dedicated spaces for produce and other perishable foods.
A zero-star zone is described for chilling raw meat, fish and seafood. The Multizone System also allows independent temperature control of a dedicated freezer compartment, giving the storage layout added flexibility.
Convenience and running characteristics
Frost-free operation means manual defrosting should not be required, while Fast Freeze is useful when adding a larger amount of fresh food to the freezer. Holiday Mode can disable the fridge while keeping the freezer operational during an absence.
LED interior lighting and a door-open alarm are practical everyday additions. The supplied specification gives an energy rating of D and a noise rating of 39 dB(A), although the available information does not include annual energy consumption or external dimensions.
