Core cooking controls
The Siemens EH601HEB1E hob combines four induction cooking zones with Siemens' touchSlider interface. The supplied description says users can touch or slide a finger to set the power level, while the listing specifies 17 power levels. A timer with safety lock is also included, giving the hob a useful set of everyday controls without physical knobs.
Connected features
Home Connect is the main feature distinction. The retailer’s supplied information describes integration with Siemens' connected-home platform, recipes through Home Connect and an intelligent hood automatic function that can match the hood fan level to hob temperature and power, followed by an automatic after-run function. These connected features depend on suitable Home Connect arrangements and a compatible hood where required; no hands-on performance claim is made here.
What to check before buying
The black-glass 60cm format should suit buyers replacing a similarly sized hob, but the retailer’s supplied information does not include the actual cut-out dimensions or electrical requirements. It also does not state pan compatibility, warranty cover or an energy rating. Those omissions make it important to confirm installation and ownership details before committing to the current retailer price.
Research note: this BestBuysUK assessment is based on the manufacturer's published specifications and other reputable technical sources. Specifications and retailer availability can change, so verify critical details before purchase.
