Extraction and installation flexibility
The Novy 826 offers three fan speeds plus a power setting, with stated airflow of up to 601m³/h on boost. Peripheral extraction is designed to concentrate airflow around the edges of the hood. The cubic motor can be rotated to direct the outlet to the right, top, left, rear or front, while its removable design allows for remote installation inside the home where the layout permits.
The hood is supplied for duct-out operation and uses a 150mm duct outlet. Optional recirculation is available with the appropriate Monoblock filter. Buyers should check the advised mounting heights and the available kitchen space before installation.
Controls, lighting and efficiency
Operation is available through push buttons or the supplied remote control. A 10-minute delayed switch-off helps clear residual cooking vapour, while automatic power revert is stated to operate after six minutes. Compatible Novy induction hobs can also control the hood through the InTouch function.
The dimmable LED lighting can be set to either a warm 2700K or neutral 4000K tone, with stated average illumination of 441 lux on the cooking surface. An A+ energy efficiency class and A fluid dynamic efficiency class make efficiency a notable part of the specification.
Who it suits
This is best suited to a modern kitchen where the extractor needs to sit discreetly within a decorative canopy or alcove. Its 90cm width, adjustable lighting and flexible motor arrangement make it particularly appealing for planned installations with specific ducting constraints.
The available product information supports a feature-rich specification, but installation compatibility, cabinet construction and the requirements for optional recirculation should be confirmed before purchase.
