Extraction performance and controls
The integrated motor offers four extraction speeds, with stated airflow of 248m³/h, 329m³/h and 423m³/h across the first three levels. Qboost raises maximum extraction to 640m³/h, giving the hood additional capacity for intense cooking sessions.
Operation remains deliberately uncomplicated, using push buttons rather than a more complex control system. The boost setting automatically reverts after five minutes, and delayed switch-off can be set for 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes.
Efficiency, lighting and maintenance
The hood carries Energy Efficiency Class A and an annual energy consumption figure of 49.6kWh. It also has A-rated lighting and fluid dynamic efficiency, making efficiency a notable part of its specification.
Three integrated 3000K LED lights use a combined 6W and are intended to illuminate the hob area. Grease-filter and recirculation-filter cleaning indicators provide useful reminders for ongoing maintenance.
Installation and everyday suitability
At 898mm wide, the Novy 6510 Salsa is intended for a 90cm hob area and uses a 150mm top exhaust outlet for ducted installation. A reversible chimney supports optional recirculation, although the recirculation configuration has different stated height dimensions from the ducted setup.
The available product information gives recommended mounting heights for induction, ceramic and gas hobs. Buyers should check the stated installation clearances and available chimney space before choosing this wall-mounted design.
