Integrated design and installation
The Novy 650 Essence is designed to align neatly with a 60cm wall cabinet, giving it a restrained appearance when not in use. Its pull-out telescopic slide extends during cooking to help improve vapour capture.
Mounting is specified to an intermediate shelf, and the included filler piece is intended to accommodate variable cabinet depths. Installation requirements should still be checked carefully against the available kitchen cabinetry before purchase.
Extraction and controls
With a stated maximum extraction rate of 501 m³/h, this hood offers a capable specification for everyday cooking. Four fan speeds provide flexibility, allowing the extraction level to be adjusted rather than relying on a single fixed setting.
The stated maximum sound power is 56 dB(A). The available information does not provide separate noise figures for each fan speed, so real-world sound levels may vary with the selected setting and installation arrangement.
Lighting and extraction options
Two integrated LED lights use a warm-white 2700K colour temperature to illuminate the cooking area. This should provide useful task lighting while maintaining a warmer kitchen ambience.
The hood supports ducted extraction, with optional recirculation available using carbon cartridges. Buyers choosing recirculation should confirm the required cartridge arrangement and ongoing replacement requirements before installation.
