The Hotpoint NSWE7469WSUK washing machine at a glance
This Hotpoint NSWE7469WSUK washing machine currently scores 80/100 in the BestBuysUK assessment, one of 42 washing machines we compare. The score is based on our weighted product-comparison framework and verified product specifications rather than retailer star ratings.
✓ Key strengths
- ✓ A energy efficiency class with 45kWh per 100 Eco 40-60 cycles and 45 litres of water per eco cycle
- ✓ 1400rpm maximum spin with variable spin-speed selection
- ✓ 16 programmes, including Anti Stain 40°, Anti Allergy, Wool, Duvet, Full Load 45 min and a 30-minute cycle
- ✓ Steam Hygiene, delay start, digital countdown, key lock, foam control and balance control add useful day-to-day flexibility
Worth considering
- The 7kg drum is less suitable for large households or bulky weekly loads than larger-capacity machines
- Spin noise is rated at 76dB(A), with a B noise class, so it is audible during high-speed extraction rather than especially quiet
- The full-load Eco 40-60 programme takes 3 hours 25 minutes, so the most efficient cycle is not a quick everyday wash
- The B spin-drying class and 53% weighted remaining moisture mean laundry may need more drying time than from higher-rated spin performers

The manufacturer data sheet verifies a 540mm appliance depth, while the retailer’s supplied information lists 605mm. The 540mm figure should be used for the product itself; the larger figure is likely a shipping or packaged measurement.
Washing performance and capacity
The Hotpoint NSWE7469WSUK washing machine has a 7kg front-loading drum and a maximum spin speed of 1400rpm, giving it a practical specification for routine household laundry. Variable spin-speed and temperature controls provide useful flexibility across cottons, synthetics, delicates and woollens.
The Anti Stain 40° programme is designed for everyday marks, while the Anti Allergy cycle operates at higher temperatures and supports more hygiene-focused washing. The B spin-drying class is respectable, although it will not extract as much moisture as the best-rated spin performers.
Programmes and useful functions
The 16-programme selection covers Mixed, Eco 40-60, Cotton, Synthetics, Delicates, Wool, Anti Allergy, Baby, 20°C, Duvet, White, 30 min, Full Load 45 min, Anti Stain 40°, Rinse & Spin and Spin & Drain. That is a broad choice for a machine aimed at everyday value rather than premium automation.
Steam Hygiene, Rapid, Full Load 45 min and the 30-minute cycle give the Hotpoint NSWE7469WSUK washing machine useful time-saving and hygiene options. A digital countdown display, delay start, key lock, foam control and balance control also make it easier to manage regular washes.
Energy use, noise and cycle times
The A energy class is one of this washing machine's strongest points. Its official energy label records 45kWh per 100 Eco 40-60 cycles and 45 litres of water per cycle, making it comparatively economical when used on the standard eco programme.
The trade-off is that the full-load Eco 40-60 cycle takes 3 hours 25 minutes. Spin noise is rated at 76dB(A), with a B noise class, so this is an audible machine during high-speed extraction rather than one aimed at particularly quiet operation.
Installation and controls
This is a freestanding white washing machine measuring 850mm high, 595mm wide and 540mm deep according to the manufacturer data sheet. It uses a front-loading layout with a rotary wash-cycle selector, a display and dedicated buttons for temperature, spin, delay start and key lock.
The Hotpoint NSWE7469WSUK washing machine is relatively conventional to operate, which should appeal to buyers who prefer clearly labelled physical controls over app-based features. Its 52-litre drum volume and 67.2kg net weight are also officially specified, although sufficient clearance should be allowed around the appliance for hoses, the door and ventilation.
Research note: this BestBuysUK assessment is based on the manufacturer's published specifications and other reputable technical sources. Specifications and retailer availability can change, so verify critical details before purchase.
