Extraction and everyday operation
The hood provides three extraction speeds, with stated airflow ranging from 236 to 428m³/h. This gives users a straightforward way to adjust ventilation for different cooking tasks. Rotary controls keep operation simple, without adding unnecessary complexity.
The stated 68dB(A) noise rating is worth considering. It is not presented as a quiet-running appliance, so higher extraction settings may be audible in an open-plan or compact kitchen.
Design, lighting and installation
This is a built-in cooker hood with a stainless steel finish, intended to sit inside compatible cabinetry or a canopy. Its nominal 60cm fitting size and actual 535mm width make careful installation measurements important.
Two 3W LED lights provide direct illumination over the hob. The hood can be installed for ducted extraction through its 120mm outlet or configured for recirculation with the appropriate optional charcoal filter, giving useful flexibility where external venting is not available.
Maintenance and suitability
The removable grease and odour filters are described as washable and replaceable, which should make routine upkeep manageable. Recirculating users should also account for the appropriate optional charcoal filter when planning installation.
Overall, the Elica Era S HE 60 is best suited to buyers seeking a compact, uncomplicated built-in hood with useful lighting and flexible installation. Its noise rating and cabinet dimensions should be checked before purchase.
